Main exams: CGL (graduate — Inspector, Auditor, Assistant, etc.), CHSL (12th pass — LDC, DEO), MTS (10th pass — peon/multi-tasking), GD Constable (CAPF/Assam Rifles), CPO (SI in Delhi Police/CAPF), JE, Stenographer, Selection Post.

TIER I — CBT, 100 Q, 200 marks, 60 min (−0.50 negative)
General Intelligence & Reasoning 25 Q / 50
General Awareness 25 Q / 50
Quantitative Aptitude 25 Q / 50
English Comprehension 25 Q / 50
TIER II — CBT (Papers on Maths & Reasoning, English & GA, Computer;
plus specialised papers for JSO/Statistics & AAO)
Syllabus: Reasoning (analogies, series, coding, syllogism, non-verbal) · Quant (arithmetic + algebra, geometry, trigonometry, mensuration, DI) · English (grammar, vocab, comprehension, cloze) · GA (history, geography, polity, economy, science, current affairs).
SSC CHSL (12th pass) · MTS (10th pass) · GD Constable
- CHSL: Tier I CBT (Reasoning, GA, Quant, English — 100 Q/200) → Tier II (skill/typing).
- MTS: CBT (Numerical & reasoning; GA & English) → PET/PST for Havaldar.
- GD Constable: CBT (Reasoning, GK/GS, Elementary Maths, English/Hindi — 80 Q/160) → PET/PST (physical) → medical.

Difference from UPSC: SSC tests the same subjects but shallower, with more emphasis on speed in Reasoning, Quant and English. Master those three for guaranteed marks; GA is scoring with the subject notes here.
